The SSU Mail Center (Phone number - 912-358-3126) is located on the first floor of the King-Frazier Complex, across from the University Bookstore. Stamps can be purchased there, and letters or packages can be mailed. Resident students are each charged a nominal fee for a mail box and must apply for a mailbox at the Mail Center.. The service window is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, except for University holidays. The mail center accepts cash, credit/debit cards, and the SSU ID一道本不卡免费高清 card flex fund.
Policies and Procedures
All resident students can be assigned a mailbox if desired. Please present your Student ID card to the Mail Center for your mailbox assignment. The first two weeks of the semester, mailbox assignments will be made during normal window hours (8:30 a.m. 4:30 p.m.); after the first two weeks, assignments may be made at limited times that will be posted at the Mail Center.
You will be given your mailbox combination at the time you receive your mailbox assignment and it will be emailed to your SSU email. Please make sure that you memorize, take a picture of it on your phone or write down this number. Duplicate mailbox combination requests may only be given out at limited times that will be posted at the Mail Center. Please note that Mail Center employees are not allowed to retrieve mail out of a mailbox.

If you are returning the subsequent semester and are living in a residence hall, you will not be required to clear your box with the SSU Mail Center staff. Morning mail is scheduled for delivery in mailboxes by approximately 11:30 AM, depending on the amount of mail received at the University. Afternoon mail is scheduled for delivery in mailboxes by approximately 3:00 PM. Package notifications are sent to you via your Savannah State e-mail account (Tigermail) as soon as the packages are processed in our system. If you have not received an email, the package mmay be in one of our reception areas other than the Mail Center. You must present your ID Card in order to pick up a package.
Mail leaves from the Mail Center at approximately 2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. You may bring outgoing mail to the Mail Center desk or drop a stamped envelope in the outgoing mail box on the side wall in the King-Frazier Mail Center.
Forwarding Your Mail
If you are leaving campus housing, please be sure to notify the SSU Mail Center of your forwarding address; in addition, notify all of your senders of your new address right away. Do not put in a request with the U.S. Postal Service using your Savannah State address. Your First Class mail (ONLY) will be forwarded for 30 days. First Class mail (ONLY) will be returned to the sender if it remains in the Mail Center after thirty days. Packages will be held for 30 days; after that time, they will be returned to the sender. Third Class mail (magazines, flyers, bulk mail items, etc.) cannot be forwarded or returned; you will need to contact the sender directly to have your address changed.
